Winning the ASEAN Market, PT PAL Indonesia Again Exports Warships to the Philippines from Indonesian

(Manila, June 24, 2022) The signing of the contract for the sale and purchase of the Landing Dock ship between PT PAL Indonesia and the Department of National Defense (DND), Philippines. The event was held at the Philippine Department of National Defense. The signing was carried out by the CMO of PT PAL Indonesia Mr. Willgo Zainar with the Secretary of National Defense Mr. Delfin N. Lorenzana, witnessed by the Corporate Secretary Mr. Rariya Budi Harta and the GM of Marketing & Ship Sales Mr. Aris Wacana Putra. This is the second time that PT PAL Indonesia has won the ASEAN market in the export of Landing Platform Dock (LPD) warships to the Philippines.
“ We, the management of PT PAL Indonesia, are ppppproud to be able to contribute to national defense in ASEAN. At the same time, we appreciate the trust of the Philippine government, for the second time choosing PAL as a provider of defense equipment for the marine dimension, " explained Mr Willgo Zainar on the occasion.
After going through a series of processes for procuring 2 units of Landing Dock warships for the Philippine Navy, PT PAL Indonesia was officially selected as the provider of the Landing Dock project through a Notice of Award (NoA) from the Philippine Department of Defense, which was received on June 10, 2022. Indonesia is procuring 2 (two) units of Landing Dock warships by the Philippine Navy, due to the satisfaction of the Philippine Government and the Philippine Navy for the operation of 2 Landing Dock or Strategic Sealift Vessels.(SSV) which was handed over by PAL several years ago. In addition to the satisfactory product quality, one of the Filipino delegates who was met during a visit to PT PAL Indonesia some time ago said he was satisfied with the after sales services provided by PT PAL Indonesia.
" PAL's capacity and capability in the field of defense equipment acquisition is now increasingly trusted to the global market. This is inseparable from the role of the Indonesian government which has given its trust and support to PAL. This is PAL's move as part of Defend ID to reach the world's top 50 defense industries, " added PT PAL Indonesia's CMO.

In addition, PT PAL Indonesia is recognized as having advantages, especially in welding technology . One of them was realized through the joint section of the KRI Alugoro-405 submarine which received the Zero Defect predicate. The transformation that is being carried out by PAL can increase its superior competitiveness. In this Maritime Industry 4.0, PAL focuses on expanding its business scope, strengthening support system capabilities. The ship to be built in Surabaya is planned to have a length of 123 meters, a height of 21 meters, a weight of 7,200 tons and has a cruising endurance of 30 days. The procurement of the Landing Dock (LD) vessel this time accommodates the adjustment of the Philippines' current DND needs with minor changes to the ship's platform. Later this LD ship is expected to be ready to serve up to sea state 6, as well as the capability to operate ship facilities at sea state 4.
